A: Halotherapy, also called salt therapy, is a natural therapy that invigorates the entire body by using salt to cleanse the respiratory system and improve skin conditions.

A: Our salt rooms recreate the microclimate of a salt cave. Our precise and quiet halogenerator breaks down sodium chloride to the micro-level. The salt particles are released into the air for you to breathe in and your skin to absorb. The fine salt aerosol is able to travel to the deepest part of the lungs and other parts of your respiratory tract where it dissolves bacteria and pollutants and works to expel mucus and open constricted airways, giving you a full-body health treatment.
Q: What is it like to experience halotherapy?
A: Your salt therapy session will consist of you sitting and relaxing in a comfortable environment while breathing in the superfine aerosol around you. The lights are dimmed and you listen to soothing music. You can enjoy a treatment either in your own private room, as a couple’s experience, or in a party group.
Q: Does breathing in salt during a halotherapy session increase hypertension?
A: No, salt therapy treatments will not cause your blood pressure to rise. The salt you inhale remains in your respiratory system — which is not intertwined with the circulatory system — so you do not have to be concerned about your blood pressure.
Q: What are the side effects of halotherapy?
A: Sometimes after a session, you might experience a little tickle in your throat and/or coughing, which is the body’s natural way of draining and clearing toxins. You may feel the fine aerosol on your skin after the session, a feeling similar to after a workout. If you have sensitive eyes, you might experience light irritation but you do not need to wear goggles to enjoy your salt therapy session.
Q: How do I prepare for my halotherapy session?
A: No prep is needed! Simply come to your treatment in relaxing clothes that allow you to breathe comfortably. Wear clean socks and avoid wearing fragrances. If skin conditions are your main focus, wear clothing that maximizes skin exposure.
Q: How many sessions of halotherapy will I need?
A: Your course of treatment will vary with your personal goals. Some people feel an improvement in their breathing and skin health after just one session in the salt room but, as with any natural therapies, the effects are cumulative and the benefits you feel should increase and last longer with a series of sessions.
Q: When is salt treatment not recommended?
A: Halotherapy is not recommended for persons afflicted with the following:
- Any kind of infectious disease
- Infections accompanied by fever
- Cardiac insufficiency
- Chronic kidney diseases
- Tuberculosis
- Cardiac and coronary diseases
- Hyperthyroidism

Q: What do Himalayan salt lamps do?
A: Himalayan salt lamps do not produce the effective treatment that halotherapy does with pure salt. Lamps are used for decoration, they help provide an overall comfortable and relaxing experience.
Q: I am getting multiple treatments, what order should I do them in?
A: Our treatments can be received in a flexible order, except you should finish with the sauna. If you use the sauna before your halotherapy session, sweat will block your pores and your skin will not be able to absorb the salt.
Q: Do I have to make an appointment?
A: We recommend contacting our team to make an appointment, but appointments are not required as we do allow walk-in appointments.
